1816 Citizens of Baldwin County, Mississippi Territory

Baldwin County, Mississippi Territory, was created on December 21, 1809, from the souther part of Washington County, Mississippi Territory. It was bordered by Washington County and Spanish West Florida.

Once Alabama became a state, the Baldwin County of the Mississippi Territory was divided between Mobile and Washington Counties. The present-day Baldwin County was then formed from the part of Mobile County east of Mobile Bay.

Keeping this in mind, the residents of the modern Baldwin County in 1816 could be found in the census of Baldwin or Mobile County.
