Frank Singleton Family

Frank Singleton, b. in Montrose, Ala., 12 June 1863, attended the University of Alabama, graduated from the University of Georgia in 1886, and is an attorney at law. He has been prosecuting attorney of the 13th Judicial Circuit of Alabama, and solicitor for Baldwin County. He has served since 1880 in the Mobile Rifles of the Alabama National Guard, is a member of the Episcopal Church and of the Masons, Elks, Knights of Pythias and Eastern Star, and his recreations are natural history and botany. After his marriage he resided about ten years in Montrose, Ala., and abt. 1903 settled in Bay Minette, Ala.

  He m. at Daphne, Ala., 12 Aug. 1894, Mart Alice Staats, b. in Vicksburg, Miss., 27 June 1873, daughter of Samuel W. and Emily (George) Staats. (Emily George is a direct descendant of Hon. John Rutledge, judge of the United States Supreme Court, and of Hon. Arthur Middleton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.)
