Marriage of Lois Martin to Bruce Johnson
The marriage of Miss Lois Martin, daughter of Mrs. Andrew Greer Martin of Bay Minette, to Bruce P. Johnson, was beautifully solemnized Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Speigh on South Court Street. Dr. Donald MacGuire, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated in the presence of the families and a few close friends. Decorations in the rooms were of sweetpeas, and gladioli, a bridal them of white and green being used. Music was by Mrs. Reid Lancaster, who played a program of wedding preludes. The march from "Lohengrin" was played for the entrance of the bride and groom who were unattended. The bride wore an ensemble of navy blue and white. Her flowers were a bouquet of pink roses. An informal reception followed the ceremony. Later, Mr. Johnson and his bride left for a wedding trip in Southern Florida. They will make their home in this city, where Mr. Johnson holds a position with the Alabama Power Company. The bride, who spent her childhood in Bay Minette, has made her home for several years with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. E.
