Reception in Stockton
Miss McDavid Compliments the Misses Bryars.
Bay Minette, March 24 - (Special) - Last night at Stockton Miss Willie
May McDavid gave an informal reception to Misses Letha, Minnie Clare,
and Sadie Bryars, who have been at home for the past two weeks from the
school at Tuskeegee during the suspension of that institution's work,
caused from smallpox.
In the receiving line with the hostess was Miss Susie Hastie of Stockton.
The popularity of the college girls, the Misses Bryars, was manifested throughout
the evening, which was one of pleasure.
Besides the many young people of Stockton, there were in attendance Messrs
P. Bryars and Robert Smith of Latham, and Doctors A. B. Bryars and dCharlie
Guelsinger, and Professors Schmidt Moore and Hilary Herbert Holmes of Bay Minette.
Miss Letha Bryars, the guest of honor, will leave tomorrow for college at Tuskegee,
where she will graduate in June.
Miss Orpah Mixon entertained the members and friends of the Junior Pipworth
League at a genuine rustic "Tacky Party" last evening.
