Saturday afternoon. Cars gathered up the guests and were met at the church
by the young people who ushered them to seats. After the opening song,
Mrs. Hawkins, the superintendent of the Junior B.Y.P.U., spoke upon the
object of the B.Y.P.U., the meeting was then taken in charge by the members
of the organization and Edwin Wooley president gave the address of welcome,
followed by Scripture reading, interacting readings were give by Inez
McKinney, Mary Sue Hawkins, and Miss Ferill Kerby. solos were given by
Alice Mae Propst and Margaret Huggins. The meeting was then dismissed
by prayer by little Mary Sue Hawkins. The guests were served a delicious
lunch, a rose being given with each one, after which a delightful hour
was spent getting better acquainted with "Grandmother and Grandfather".
In behalf of the guests Mr. Geo. [George] W. Burns and Mrs. Rothermel
spoke a few words of appreciation and praise for the Juniors and thanked
