Mattie Rosaline Stacey Turberville

Mattie Rosaline Stacey Turberville, 86, a native of Daphne and a resident of Perdido, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at North Baldwin Infirmary.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Clem and Ollie Eva Jeter Stacey; her husband, Jessie James Turberville; and her son, Ira Lafate Turberville.

Survivors include three sons, James Earl (Bonnie) Turberville of Rabun, James Ray Turberville of Perdido and Rayford James (Sharon) Turberville of Dyas; daughter, Elizabeth (Ralph) Ellis of Perdido; two brothers, Charles Stacey of McCullough and Hollis Stacey of Montgomery; two sisters, Jean Norwood of Frisco City and Myrtle Emmons of Atmore; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 9 at Fretwell Tabernacle Church with Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Bryars-McGill Cemetery in Perdido.

Active pallbearers were David Ellis, Clifton Ellis, Jason Young, Jamin Laverity, Daniel Turberville and Derrick Joiner.

Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
