"Quite a sensation was sprung in Baldwin County (Alabama) by Dr. V. McR. Showalter appearing before a justice of the peace and swearing out warrants against seven other physicians of the county, charging them with failure to reply to the County Health Officer as to births and deaths during the month of September, as required by the statute. The physicians were arrested and released on bonds of $100 each."
