Would anyone at Chambers
County Alabama be familiar with the Buchanan, Mitchell, and Pearson
families who lived in the area of Randolph and Chambers counties in the
mid-1800s. I have the following information that I am contributing to
your site.
B.H. BUCHANAN was born Dec. 1852 in Georgia, he
died 1925 in Jarrell, Texas. His initials may be short for Benjamin H.
BUCHANAN. In 1860, B.H BUCHANAN lived with his parents, T.W. BUCHANAN,
1828, North Carolina, 1870, Talbot, Georgia, and Nancy E. MITCHELL,
1834, Georgia.
Nancy MITCHELL married T.W. BUCHANAN, 1844,
in Georgia, and they settled in Beat 9 of Randolph County Alabama as
early as 1845. In 1860, they are listed in the Northern Division of
Randolph County, and likewise they are on the 1870 U.S. Census for
Saxons in Randolph County.
B.H BUCHANAN married Rebecca F.
PEARSON, 1814, GA, whose parents, Richmond Pearson, 1814, GA, and wife,
Nancy (NLN) lived in the Northern Division, then Milltown, Ripville, and
Precinct 4 Trammell Crossroads in Chambers County, Alabama on the 1860,
1870, 1880, and 1900 U.S. Census. B.H. and Rebecca F. (PEARSON) BUCHANAN
lived in Daviston, Tallapoosa County, AL in 1880, according to the U.S.
Census.
Thank you very much.
Best
