SLAVERY RECORDS

1835

RAN AWAY from the subscriber, residing near Cambridge, Dallas county, on the 17th ult. a negro man named Cesar. He is about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, with a dark, heavy beard, talks rather an African language, speaks broken when spoken to. He also has a scare on his right arm, occasioned by the bite of a dog--no other marks perceivable.

FIFTY DOLLARS will be paid for the delivery of said slave to me, or TWENTY DOLLARS to any person that will secure him in any jail so that I can get him.

Sept. 17th-3-8t.                    DANIEL HOVY.
