REV. W. L. WILSON
Died Yesterday at Leeds-Funeral Services this Afternoon at Huffman.

Rev. W. L. Wilson, a local minister at the Methodist church, living at Leeds, at one time the probate judge of Jefferson, and a very prominent man in the county, died yesterday about noon of pneumonia.

The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Oak Grove church at Huffman which is a mile or so beyond East Lake.

Mr. Wilson was a native of South Carolina, but came to this county when quite young, and has lived in different portions of it ever since. From 1860 to 1866 he was probate judge of the county, which office he filled with great credit. Several years ago he owned the Alabama Christian Advocate, the official organ of the Methodist church, and has for many years been one of its local preachers. He was 77 years old at the time of his death.

Mr. Wilson was married three times, his last wife surviving him. He was blessed with eleven children, as follows:

J. E. Wilson, Birmingham; P. D. Wilson, Trussville; T. M. Wilson, Calera; F. S. Wilson, Wylam; J. W. and E. D. Wilson, Maxie, Tex.; W. T. Wilson, Elyton; W. B. Wilson, Lampasis, Tex.; Mrs. M. E. Vann, Woodlawn; Mrs. Minerva Gillespie, Leeds; Mrs. Lida Diamond, Leeds.

Including all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, this good man left ninety-three descendants.
