TATE - STANFORD

Prof. A. W. TATE and Miss FLORENCE STANFORD were united in marriage at the home of the bride's father, Mrs. JAMES P. STANFORD, near Guin, on last Saturday morning. The groom is the able assistant in our school, an educated Christian gentleman and admired and respected by all who knew him, while the happy bride is one of Marion's most intelligent and accomplished young ladies. The Appeal extends congratulations and voices the sentiments of the entire community in wishing the happy couple a long and pleasant voyage on the matrimonial sea. - (Hamilton Appeal, June 12, 1896)

Married - Near Bexar, this county, on Dec. 1st, at the residence of the brides' father, Mrs. HENRY THEISS to Miss CORDELIA JOHNSON, Rev. JOHN ARNOLD, officiating. The Herald extends congratulations. - (Marion Herald, December 8, 1887 - pg 4)

BOIZELL - THOMAS

Married: At the residence of S. J. THOMAS of Haley's on December 22, Miss DELLA THOMAS and Mr. JOHN BOIZELL of Pratt City. C. E. MITCHELL performed the ceremony. We wish the young couple a long and prosperous life. - (Hamilton News Press, Dec. 26, 1895 - pg 5)

THORN - TURNER

JOHN S. THORN and Miss HATTIE TURNER were married at Oakhill Church, Lamar County, last Sunday morning in the presence of a large number of their friends. After the ceremony they immediately left for Mr. THORN'S father's, about a mile from Hamilton, where a crowd was in waiting to offer congratulations and partake of the supper prepared for the bride and groom. We tender the happy couple our best wishes for a long life of happiness and prosperity. - (Marion County News, October 21, 1897)

MORROW - TERRELL

Mr. JOHN S. MORROW and Miss P. A. TERELL were married at the residence of the bride's father, WILLIAM TERRELL, Esq. four miles south of Hamilton. Rev JACK MAYS officiating on Sunday march the 24th May their bark glide smoothly over the sea of life and finally be moored in that haven of eternal rest. - (Marion Herald, April 4, 1889 - pg 4)

CLARK - TERREL

SIMMONS - TERRELL

JOHN H. SIMMONS and Miss MILLIE TERRELL were married on last Tuesday at the residence of the bride's mother, three miles south of Hamilton. TERRY - BANKHEAD

We acknowledge the receipt of an invitation to the marriage of Miss LOUISE BANKHEAD, the accomplished daughter of Hon. J. H. BANKHEAD, to Hon. W. H. TURMAN - NOE

From Detroit: We had a wedding here on St. Valentines Day. Mr. MILTON TURMAN to Miss ----- NOE, J. H. RAY officiating. The candidates each had a chew of "taffy" in their mouths and were made husband and wife ere they ceased to chew it or to remove it. May they continue to chew "taffy" together happily for many years. - (Guin Dispatch, Feb. 23, 1889)

FLIPPO - TOWNSEND

THORN - EVANS

R. E. THORN of Hamilton and Miss IDA EVANS were married at the residence of the bride's father at Henson Springs on Tuesday morning, September 28, in the presence of the friends of the contracting parties. WILSON - THORN

At residence of the bride's parents, one mile south of Hamilton, on Wednesday, August 18, 1897, Mr. GEORGE J WILSON and Miss URSLEY C. THORN, Rev. R. W. CLARK, officiating.   The senior editor of the News congratulates the junior upon his good fortune in winning so amiable and accomplished a lady for his life companion, and tenders the happy pair our best wishes.
