LOOKINGBILL, DANIEL, age not given, a resident of Dallas County; private, 14th U. S. Regular; enrolled on July 30, 1831, payment to date from July 25, 1831; annual allowance, $96; sums received to date of publication of list, $250.89; Acts Military establishment.—Revolutionary Pension Roll, in Vol. xiv, Sen. Doc. 514, 23rd Cong., 1st sess., 1833-34. Resided also in Marion, Fayette and Tuscaloosa counties.— Pension Book, State Branch Bank, Mobile.

McBEE, SILAS Was born November 24, 1765, and therefore was not quite fifteen when fighting at King's Mountain under Colonel Williams. He lived at Thicketty Ford, South Carolina, and was there at the time of the capture of Captain Moore and his men. He was a member of the first legislature of Alabama (Marion County) but in 1842 was living in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, where he died three years later. Draper had several interviews with him.—White's King's Mountain Men, p. 202. McBEE, SILAS (1765-1845) was pensioned, 1831, for service as a private, 1781, at Kings Mountain under Captains Thompson and Padue, Colonels Brandon and Pickens. He was born in South Carolina; died in Pontotoc County, Miss.—D.A.R. Lineage Book, vol. 116, page 132.

PAINE, MATTHEW, age not given; a resident of Marion County, private Tennessee Volunteers; enrolled on February 8, 1826, payment to date from October 26, 1825; annual allowance $96; sums received to date of publication of list $706.65; April 24, 1816 - Revolutionary Pension Roll in Vol. xiv. Sen. Doc. 514, 23rd Cong., 1st Sess. 1833-34.
