Melvin Lee Foster
Services for Melvin Lee Foster, 49, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sherrod Elementary School, 421 N. Gulkana, in Palmer. Mr. Foster died Dec. 3 at Valley Hospital in Palmer.


Born July 8, 1936 in Jordon, Mont., he came to Alaska 12 years ago and for the past year and a half had lived in Palmer. At the time of his death he was business manager for Valley Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Amerilis, of Wasilla; one daughter, Kim, of Anchorage; three sons, William and David of Anchorage and Kevin of Pocatello, Idaho; three brothers, Fred and Joe of Montana, and Elmer, of Sitka; one sister, Mona Benjamine of Washington; and his granddaughter, Halley Foster of Juneau.

Burial will be in Palmer City Cemetery.
