Pop 200. A p o and native village, settled in 1885, on the Susitna River, 20 miles from its mouth on Cook Inlet, 30 ne of Beluga, 30 nw of Knik and 200 nw of Seward, the banking point. Has a Russian Greek Catholic church and government school for natives. Weekly mail stage from Seward in winter. Semi-monthly from Anchorage (Ship Creek), via Knik in summer.
