Marriage and Wedding Announcements

MARRIED IN SAFFORD
J H Burland and Miss Gladys Lewis came down from Globe Saturday August 9th and obtained a marriage license from our superior Court Clerk JH L Payne
and were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at the Baptist parsonage at 180 p m Rev Hardie Connor officiating The happy couple returned to Globe on the evening train.

Christopher Alfred and Miss Sylvia Faulkner were married Wednesday at Thatcher at 4 p. m. President W. D. Johnson performed the ceremony.

Two matrimonial barks were launched at Pima on New Year's day, says the: Solomonville Bulletin. A large gathering of relatives and friends assembled at the residence of John Taylor to celebrate the marriage of his daughter Lorena to Gerald Merrill of this place. Both popular and highly respected young people. The other contracting parties were William Garrison, an exemplary and popular young mechanic of Clifton, and Miss Caroline Thurston, a well and favorably known young lady, daughter of Widow Thurston. The latter couple will betake themselves to Clifton January 5 where they will make their home for the present.

Wedding or Marriage License issued
A very pretty wedding took place Wednesday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs William Waddill on I street when their eldest daughter Miss Laura F was joined in the holy bonds of matrimony to Ulysses I Paxton.
The ceremony took place in the parlor at 8:00 o'clock before a few invited guests and members of the family Rev J H Helm officiating.
After receiving the congratulations of their friends the newly married couple and their guests adjourned to the dining room which was very prettily decorated with flowers and apple blossoms and partook of the wedding feast.
The happy bride groom is one of Saffords successful business men and came here about six years ago from Beaver Dam Ky For several years Mrs Paxton taught school in Graham county afterward going into the bottling business with his brother Samuel in which he has made quite a success.
The bride one of Saffords most popular belles is a very estimable young woman and has lived here all here life.
The Guardian extends hearty congratulations to the young couple and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.

SMITH - COLLINS WEDDING
Miss Annie Smith Is Married to William Collins
The marriage of Miss Annie Smith to William Collins took place in Solomonville, last Saturday afternoon at three o'clock The ceremony was performed by Judge T S Bunch
After the ceremony the happy couple returned to the home of the brides mother in Lone Star where they held a reception and received the congratulations of their many friends

Clerk of the Court H. L Payne, reports the following marriage license issued:  February 2nd Padro Burrell and Francisca Bustamante, both of Thatcher, on February 4th Pablo Chavarri of Solomoville, and Rita Moreno of Reddington Pima county.

Two Loving Hearts Now Beat as One
Miss Mabel Strawn and Bertram P Savage were united in the holy bonds matrimony Saturday evening February 12th Rev P D Gardner performing the ceremony The marriage took place at the home of the brides parents in Artesia After the ceremony happy couple held a reception received the congratulations of their many friends and then repaired to their new home on Relation street Layton.
