The ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Crawford at Nogales died Sunday last of diphtheria. This is the fifth child they have lost from the same disease in the course of a few weeks.

G.C. Martin, a well-known cattle buyer, died at St. Joseph's Hospital today. the deceased was employed by the Tom Donahue company of South Omaha, and had but recently returned from Emerus, Sonora, on business. While in Sonora he caught a severe cold, which developed into pneumonia. The remains will be shipped to Omaha for burial.

James R. Rinshaw, father of H.R. Rinshaw of Nogales, died here today. Deceased was a native of Maryland and during the Civil War and for several years subsequent, he served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Resigning from the navy Mr. Rinshaw moved to Argentina S.A., where for many years he ran steamers on the Rio de la Plata. About 20 years ago he came to Nogales, where he has lived ever since. A widow and one son survive him.

Nogales Oct 7 William Barnett, a wealthy cattle ranch owner known in Arizona and Mexico, died here today, aged 81, of cancer of the bladder. He is reported to have been worth from one-half to one million dollars.

Unexpected Death of Collector Frank Doan.
News reached the city last evening that Frank Doan had died suddenly at his resilience in Nogales at about 5:30 o'clock.  The report spread over the city rapidly and it came as a severe shock to his many Tucson friends  His unexpected demise was deplored generally and many messages of condolence and sympathy were sent to his bereaved widow from Tucson last night.
Mr. Doan was taken down with typhoid-pneumonia about three weeks ago. The attack was not considered serious at first and it was thought that his fine physique would help his materially in battling the fever. His condition however, grew steadily worse and a relapse suffered a few days ago hastened the sad end.
Frank L. Doan came to Arizona about sixteen months ago to succeed William Hoey as collector of customs at the port of Nogales. he was a native of Ohio but had been engaged in the Treasury department for number of years. he was one of the first officials to give general satisfaction as collector of customs.
He made a conscientious and competent official from the start. He was universally liked in all sections of the Territory. He was a true friend and he had a wealth of good nature and a big kind heart. Mr. Doan was well known Mason and a number of the local lodge of Elks. He leaves a widow and two children besides a boat of friends to mourn his loss.
The remains will be shipped to his old home in Ohio for interment.

Mrs. S.R. Brazelton Is Dead At Douglas
News has been received in Tucson Mrs. S. R. Brazelton, wife of the former editor of the Nogales herald, died at her home at Douglas Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock of pneumonia. the body will be shipped to Georgia for interment.
Mr. Brazelton was formerly manager of the Texas Oil Company in Tucson.

W.N. Cummings, aged 74 years, died this week in Nogales. Mr. Cummings was one of the first county officials of the baby county of Santa Cruz. He was a Mason and attended the Grand Lodge during its sessions her last month. Mrs. Stanley, a daughter of the deceased, who is a teacher, at the University, was at home in Nogales when the death summons came.

Killed by Yaquis.
Nogales, Ariz.—Particulars have been received of a killing by Yaquis In a suburb of Hermosillo. Mexico. Rafael I. Huiz, son of a prominent banker was shot to death.

Tragedy in the Senta Ritas Tubac, Arizona Territory July 6, 1892 Charles Roberts, miner in the Santa Rita Mountains was shot and killed this evening about dark by Frank Morton another miner. The killing is said to have been done in self defence, Roberts firing the first shot, which grazed Morton's breast; Morton then took Robert's gun away from him and fearing further injury fired at Roberts as he was making for his house. The men were friends and Roberts' action is unaccountable. The above is Morton's story. Justice Mercer has gone up to the mountains to hold an inquest and bury the body. Morton's examination will take place on his return.

San Juan Celebration Caused Death at Tubac
The celebration of San Juan's day with the accompanying spectacular stunts on .horseback resulted in a fatality, at Tubac Sunday. Word reached heie today that the man who was killed was Jose A. Villa, a rachman. His death was due to an accident. A number of horsemen were striving to pull the buried rooster out by its head. One of the horsemen, was thrown. In falling  his pistol fell from its scabbard and was discharged. The bullet struck Villa In the back of the head, killing him almost Instantly.
