CROSSETT, ARK-- THURMAN PAUL GILMORE, 80, of Crossett died Wednesday, January 12, 2000, at his
residence. He was born on May 2, 1919, in Strong to his parents, Thermion and
Annie Pearl Taunton Gilmore. Mr. Gilmore was a World War II veteran and a
retired employee of Georgia-Pacific Paper.
Survivors include one son, James
Monroe Gilmore of Crossett; three daughters, Paulette Gilmore of Pine Bluff,
Linda Mitchell of Altus, and Betty Watson of Rye, TX; two sisters, Sarah
Christine Gilmore Lee and Shirley Ann Gilmore Faulkner, both of Little Rock;
eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at two
p.m. Friday, January 14, at the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Bro.
Isaac Patton officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Dillard, Jimmy Cook, Michael
Gilmore, Nicholas Amos, Walter Paul Clark, Chris Evans, Tommy Rice, Lonnie
Sharp, and Charles Burton. Interment was at Pinewood Memorial Park. Howard
Buford Graves
Howard Burford Graves, 86, of Monticello died Saturday, January
8, 2000, at his home. Born in Drew County on March 16, 1913, to the late Otis
and Lucy Chavis Graves, he worked for Continental Can Company and was a member
of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors are a son, William Graves of
Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Linda Irwin of Washington and Ruby Ann Simmons of
California; one brother, Preston Graves of Monticello; a sister, Deva Adair of
Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a stepson, Cecil
Howell of Bryant; and two stepdaughters, Virginia Graves of Monticello and
Barbara Day of Oregon.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 13,
in the Prairie Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Bates and Jack Ferguson
officiating. Pallbearers were Tommy, Wayne, and Dale Graves, Donny Bowden,
Clifford Bowden and Roger Chavis.
Burial followed services at the Prairie
Grove Cemetery, directed by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of

HAMBURG,
AR-- MR.
MARTIN GUTIERREZ, 26, of Hamburg died Tuesday, February 8,
2000, in Desha County. He was a native of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, a
resident of Hamburg for the past three months, a member of the Holy
Spirit Catholic Church, and a saw operator for Lauhon Logging Company.
Survivors include his wife, Ofelia Medrano Gutierrez; a son, Martin
Guadalupe Gutierrez Medrano; a daughter, Carmela Gutierrez Medrano; his
parents, Juvencio and Maria Gutierrez; six brothers, Juan Francisco,
Miguel Antonio, Pascual, Bernardino, Juan Jose and Marcus Gutierrez;
and two sisters, Rosalena and Belen Gutierrez, all of Leon, Guanajuato,
Mexico.
A funeral mass was at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 13, in the chapel of
Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Father Neil Pezzulo officiating.
Interment will be February 18 in the Municipal Horte Cemetery in Leon,
Guanajuato, Mexico, with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
