9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary.
He was 79, a native of Bradley County, Ark., a former resident of Baker
and a resident of Norwood.
Visiting at Young Funeral Home Inc., El Dorado, Ark., 6 to 9 p.m Thursday. Religious services at Ebenezer Baptist Church, El Dorado, at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Don Travis. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, El Dorado. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Doyle W. (Nancy) Davis, Norwood, and Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Lemons, England, Ark.; two sons, Donald Eugene Baker, Baker, and Jerry Wayne Baker, Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Opal Lanier, Hermitage, Ark.; three brothers, Charlie Baker, Mena, Ark., Archie Baker, Petersburg, Va., and Hurley Baker, Banks, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Webb, Rod Mills, Frank Mauney, John Bolding, Joe Willett and J.C. Parks. He was a member of the International Union of Chemical Engineers. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Doyle W. (Nancy) Davis, Norwood, and Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Lemons, England, Ark.; two sons, Donald Eugene Baker, Baker, and Jerry Wayne Baker, Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Janice Castleberry, Warren, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, El Dorado. --Advocate, The (Baton Rouge, LA) - December 30, 1997. ![]() CROSSETT, ARK--HAZEL EUJENIOR HAYES, 89, of Crossett died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at the
Crossett Leisure Lodge. She was born on Nov. 27, 1910, to Rufus and Mary Glover
Rice in Bradley County. Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker and a member of the First
Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Hines,
and a great-grandson, Dakota Hines.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Luther Hayes of Crossett; two sons, Sammie Joe Hayes of Warren and Rex Hayes of Branson, MO; one daughter, Denver Jeffers of Crossett; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with the Revs. Wayman Mann and John Reed officiating. Pallbearers were Marty, Greg, and Bruce Hayes and Dennis, Tony and Donnie Hines. Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Greeenwood, Lavern Rice, Bill Watson, Robert Nichols, Dale Taylor, Otis Brady, Tency Schilders, John C., Bobby, Danny and Carl Jeffers and Sean Grisham. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park. ![]() CROSSETT, ARK--LILLIAN MARIE MCDANIEL, 81, of Crossett, formerly of Harrell, died Thursday,
March 2, 2000, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born March 24, 1918, in
Bradley County to the late Pate and Fronie Journey Davis, she was a homemaker
and a member of the Union Grove Assembly of God. She married Floyd McDaniel on
May 16, 1936, and he died June 13, 1962.
Survivors are two daughters, Nina Gilbert and Betty Jane Hooks, both of Crossett; a brother, C. R. Davis of Camden; two sisters, Bertha Davis of Hampton and Ida Mae Heath of Harrell; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Union Grove Assembly of God in Cleveland County with Rev. Moss officiating. Pallbearers included Ronnie Davis, John Parker, Randy Heath, Emmett Parker, Hershel Parker and Pete Heath. Minnehaha Ave., Clermont, died Wednesday. She was born in Bradley County, Ark. She was a retired schoolteacher and practical nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Genoa, Ark.
