BAKER, LA--ALVIN BAKER  Died 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 79, a native of Bradley County, Ark., a former resident of Baker and a resident of Norwood.
Visiting at Young Funeral Home Inc., El Dorado, Ark., 6 to 9 p.m Thursday. Religious services at Ebenezer Baptist Church, El Dorado, at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Don Travis. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, El Dorado.
Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Doyle W. (Nancy) Davis, Norwood, and Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Lemons, England, Ark.; two sons, Donald Eugene Baker, Baker, and Jerry Wayne Baker, Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Opal Lanier, Hermitage, Ark.; three brothers, Charlie Baker, Mena, Ark., Archie Baker, Petersburg, Va., and Hurley Baker, Banks, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Webb, Rod Mills, Frank Mauney, John Bolding, Joe Willett and J.C. Parks.
He was a member of the International Union of Chemical Engineers.
Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, in charge of local arrangements.

BAKER, LA--PERILLA A BAKER, resident of Baker, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at Grace Nursing Home, Clinton. She was 79 and a native of Bradley County, Ark.
Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Final arrangements are pending at Young Funeral Home, El Dorado, Ark.
Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Doyle W. (Nancy) Davis, Norwood, and Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Lemons, England, Ark.; two sons, Donald Eugene Baker, Baker, and Jerry Wayne Baker, Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Janice Castleberry, Warren, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, El Dorado.

CLERMONT, FL--FLOY COOK VON BARGEN, 94, 151 E. Minnehaha Ave., Clermont, died Wednesday. She was born in Bradley County, Ark. She was a retired schoolteacher and practical nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Genoa, Ark.
Survivors: daughters, Lillian Martin, Texarkana, Ark., Mary Lou Dresbach, Ocoee.
