Lake Village - Freman "Snap" Oliver, 79, of Lake Village, died Sunday at Chicot Memorial Hospital at Lake Village. He was born May 1, 1924, at Jerome (Drew County), a son of the late Charlie Oliver and Dobbie Mitchell. Survivors include three sons, Leon Oliver of Los Angeles, Freman Oliver Jr. and James Oliver, both of McGehee; five daughters, Aritha Diamond of McGehee, Rosie Oliver and Terri Oliver, both of Los Angeles, Wilmar Jean collins of Temecula, Calif., and Patricia Jones of Mexico; one brother, Willie Charles Oliver of Little Rock; one sister, Charlie Mae Robinson of Little Rock; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at Silver Mount Missionary Baptist Church at Jerome with the Rev. Lee Henry officiating. Burial will be in Silver Mount Cemetery by Davis Strickland Funeral Home at Dermott.
