Brookland, AR--Mrs. Agnes Farrar, 90, of Brookland, Route 1, died Thursday morning (Feb. 13, 1975) at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center

    Born in Illinois, she had spent most of her life around Brookland and Jonesboro. The housewife was a member of the Methodist Church.

    She is survived by one son, James Barnett of Brookland; one stepson, R.K. Farrar Jr., of Bushnell, Fla.;  three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lilian Womack of Jonesboro, Mrs. Ruth Webster of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Lorine Copples of Kansas City, Mo.: 12 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 in the Farmer’s Union Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. J. Anthony Holifield and Elder M.O. Hillis officiating. Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery.

JONESBORO — Eva Leverne Creason FRANKLIN, 91, of Jonesboro died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Craighead County Nursing Center.

She lived her entire life in Jonesboro and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Virgil Creason and L.W. Franklin; three children, Sammy Lee Creason, Gary Lynn Creason and Callie Sue Franklin; and one grandchild, Erik Creason.

Leverne is survived by her son, William “Bill” Franklin of Jonesboro; sister, Helen Willis of Maryland; six grandchildren, Gary Creason Jr., John Creason, Candace Holcom, Naomi Creason, Ty Creason and Jennifer Franklin Long; and one great-grandson, Brandon Creason.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Larry Bailey officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday school class at Central Baptist Church.

Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from noon Tuesday until service time.
