Monette, Ark.--
MRS.
ADA ELIZABETH POWELL, 94, of Monette died Tuesday at
Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City. She was a housewife and a
member of the Full Gospel Church. She was born in Newark, and
had lived in Monette for 26 years, formerly of Black Oak.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Kellam of Spokane, Wash.,
Mrs. Katie Taylor of Monette, Mrs. Bessie Reed of Milwaukee, Wis., and
Mrs. Eleanor Morales of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Hardy Powell of
Spokane; 24 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the Gregg
Funeral Home chapel in Monette with Rev. James Cody officiating.
Burial will follow in the Willis Cemetery under the direction
of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. Grandsons and nephews will

JONESBORO, ARK–
LOEY EDWARD PROCTOR,
91, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional
Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Dickson, Tenn., and lived
in Texas; then several years in Bay before moving to Jonesboro in 1965.
He was a retired farmer in the Bay area, and was a member of the Church
of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Agnes Harper Proctor of Jonesboro; one
daughter, June Ashlock of Cherokee Village; one son, Harold Proctor of
Memphis; two sisters, Gladys Proctor of Dallas, and Nannie Jones of
Colorado City, Texas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and by a granddaughter, Amy Ashlock Geddie.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. at
Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro with Harlan Wood officiating, with
arrangements under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
