CHARLES N. WILLCOCKSON
West Monroe,
LA--CHARLES N.
WILLCOCKSON, 82 of West Monroe, formerly of Jonesboro, died Sunday at
his home. He was a blacksmith and lived in the Jonesboro area
until ten years ago when he moved to West Monroe. He was a
Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Della Willcockson; six sons, Avery of
Jonesboro, Route 2, Melvin, Thad, Charles J., Heber and Woodrow
Willcockson of West Monroe; a stepson, Odell Smith of Pasadena, Texas;
three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gregory of Jonesboro, Mrs. Pauline Goodwin
of Trumann, and Mrs. Wilma Denton of West Monroe; a stepdaughter, Mrs.
Lorena Laird of West Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Cindy Wall of Jonesboro; 32
grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Farmers Union
Chapel with Elder Jewel McCracken officiating. Burial will be
in
Caldwell Chapel Cemetery with Farmers Union Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Wall, Jack Wall, Russell Wall,
Mark
Wall, Max Clayton and Buren Adams. (Source:

MELVIN ERNEST WILLCOCKSON
West Monroe,
La--Melvin Ernest
Willcockson, 70, West Monroe, formerly of Jonesboro died at his home
Saturday afternoon. Born and reared in Jonesboro, he moved to
West Monroe 21 years ago. A retired carpenter, he was a
Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Jean Willcockson, of the home; four
sons, Melvin L. Willcockson of Spring, Texas, Wayne Willcockson,
Woodrow Willcockson, and Frank Willcockson, all of West Monroe; five
daughters, Mrs. Juanita Davis and Mrs. Kay Morrison of Jonesboro, Mrs.
Diane Baltzell of Lake City, Miss Debra Willcockson and Miss Mary
Willcockson of West Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gregory of
Jonesboro, Mrs. Wilma Denton of West Monroe, and Mrs. Pauline Goodwin
of Trumann; five brothers, Avery Willcockson of Jonesboro, Woodrow,
Charles, Thad and Herbert Willcockson of West Monroe; 20 grandchildren;
and one great grandchild, Krista Davis, of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 in the Chapel of
Framers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Rev. John Basinger
and
Elder Jewell McCracken will officate. Burial will be in
Caldwell
Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farmers Union funeral Home.

ERNEST WILLIAMS
Ernest
Williams, 64, of Anna, Illinois died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at City Care
Center in Anna. He was born Oct. 19, 1942 in Jonesboro, Ark., to James
Thomas and Eunice Ernestine Floyd Williams. He was a member of Makanda
Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Bob Williams of Metropolis, IL; and a
sister, Hazel Parker of Palestine, Ark. He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother, Jim.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with
the Rev. Cliff Waller officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery.

HELEN WRENN WILLIS
Helen Wrenn Willis, 102, passed
away peacefully after a short illness on June 7, 2009 in Las Vegas,
Nevada. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and was a life-long
resident of Memphis, Tennessee. She was married to Charles Franklin
Willis, Sr. (Pre-deceased in 1964) for 44 years.
Helen is survived by two of her three children, Charline Brewer of
Montgomery Village, Maryland, and Julia Harrod of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her only son was Charles Franklin Willis, Jr. (pre-deceased in 2005) of
Woodbridge, Virginia. She also had s9x grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Helen spent many years working as a semstress, and was well-known for
sewing beautiful quilts. She was actively involved with Kirby Woods
Baptist Church (Deaf Ministry) in Memphis.
After selling her Memphis home in 1999, she lived with each of her
children, usually four months at a time, onb a rotating basis. This
allowed her to be a true grandmother to allof her family members.
Memorial services will be private. Interment with her husband will be
at the Memoiral Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. Memorial
contributions may be made in her name to the Deaf Ministry Fund, Kirby
Woods Baptist Church, 6325 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
