NICHOLAS LLOYD BOHNERT, 15 days, of Crawfordsville, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. He was born Sept. 30, 2003 in Memphis, son of Kevin and Dona Bohnert.
Survivors include his parents of Crawfordsville; a brother, Logan Bohnert of the home; grandparents, Lloyd and Shirley Bohnert of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Hilda Hajek of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark., is in charge of arrangements. --Southeast Missourian, Oct. 17, 2003.


JEAN MANN BRADFIELD, 93, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2006 at Methodist University Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 9 in the Chapel at Idlewild Presbyterian Church where she had been a member over eighty years. There will be a private burial ceremony at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. She was born on September 10, 1912 in Crittenden County, AR, near Marion. She was the daughter of Pamye Hardin Mann and Edward H. Mann. She graduated from West Tennessee Normal School (UM), and taught over twenty years in the Memphis City Schools. She married Herbert N. "Buddy" Bradfield in 1940 and they spent 45 years together before he died in 1985. She loved volunteering, traveling and meeting people, but most of all she loved her church where she was a deacon, head of the Sunday School, president of the Women of the Church who honored her with the lifetime achievement award. She was a charter member of the Loyalty Circle of the Kings Daughters and later a member of the Llewelyn Circle. She was a member of the Duration Club, Dur-Arts and the Memphis Symphony League. She was a charter member of Beta Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary teaching organization. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Applegate of Nashville, TN; and her son, Jerry Bradfield (Kathy) of Memphis; two grandchildren, Karen Kidwell (Larry) of Brentwood, TN, and Major David Applegate (Heather) of Seoul, South Korea; and five great grandchildren.  Memphis Funeral Home.  --Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - January 8, 2006 


McClure, IL.--The REV. ROBERT LEWIS BURCHYETT, 91, of West Memphis, Ark., formerly of Cairo and McClure, Ill., passed away at 4:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at the Broadway Health Center in West Memphis.  He died peacefully, surrounded by his family.  He was born March 15, 1916 in rural McClure, youngest child of the late Calvin and Erma (Baker) Burchyett.  Bob attended McClure High School and often told family members of when he walked Lawana Opal Colyer home from school one day and decided he was going to marry her.  He married his high school sweetheart Nov. 10, 1934.  She died Jan. 19, 1989.  Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Anna and Joe Smith and Erma Lynn Burchyett of West Memphis; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Shannon Hollingsworth of Villa Ridge, Ill; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bro Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelby Darlene Hollingsworth, with whom he lived until her death March 5, 2006; infant son William Lewis; infant daughter, Carolyn Sue; two sisters, Thelma Moore and Minnie Lovell; two brothers, Raymond and Audrey Burchyett.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cairo Pentecostal Church.  A celebration of Bro. Bob Burchyett's life will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 in the church he, his wife and three daughters founded some 54 years ago.  Bro. Bobby McCool will officiate, assisted by Bro. Charles McKinnies, Bro Dan McKinnies, Bro Bob McCool, Sr. and Bro. Stephen Smith.  Burial will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery in rural McClure.  Jones Funeral Home of Villa Ridge is in charge of the arrangements. 



KENNETH E. BURGESS, 68, of Marion, Ark., formerly of Anna, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.  
He was born May 9, 1939 in Aurora, Ill., son of Lora Ada Philips.  He married Dorothy Murray Oct. 21, 1978 in Jonesboro, Ark.
Burgess was a graduate of Vienna (IL) High School.  He worked for the City of Anna and later worked for the Kroger Co. in Marion and retired in 2003.  
He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960.
He is survived by his wife; five children, Russell Burgess of Marion, Jeff Ray of Anna, Rick Murray of Carterville, IL, Bobby Murray of Carbondale, IL and Beverly Tanner of Berryville, IL; nine grandchildren; a brother, Bill Burgess of Marion; and a sister, Ruth Isom of Stuart, FL.
Friends may call at the funeral home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.  The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 12, 2007 at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Bill Perry officiating.
Full military honors will be given at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna.  Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery in Vienna, IL.
