MARION, AR - DR. HAROLD L. WOODS, 75, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Arkansas, retired teacher and school administrator, died Sunday at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, where he was a member, with burial at 11 a.m. Monday in Crittenden County Memorial Park in Marion. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau has charge.
He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and received a doctorate in school administration from the George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. He was an assistant superintendent of instruction in Gallup, N.M., and Tyler, Texas, curriculum coordinator for San Diego County School System, and was a school principal in Dermott, Earle and Wolf Lake, Ill. He founded the Migrant Children's Center affiliated with Southeast Missouri State University in 1967, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a Sunday school teacher and member of the administrative board at Centenary United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Boy Scouts, Kiwanis Club and Phi Delta Kappa honorary fraternity.
Dr. Woods, the husband of Bruce Ellen Woods, also leaves two sons, Bruce L. Woods of Apex, N.C., and R. Jeffrey Woods of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Lola Mae Jackson of Hamburg and Marie White of Fountain Hill, and two grandsons.

MARION, AR--RALPH JEFFREY WOODS, 43, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Marion, Ark., master diesel mechanic, died of cancer Thursday in Cape Girardeau. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau with burial in Crittenden Memorial Gardens in Marion. He leaves a son, Jeffrey Dale Woods of Phoenix, Ariz.; his mother, Bruce Ellen O' Guinn Woods of Cape Girardeau, and a brother, Bruce LaRon Woods of Apex, N.C. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
