CARLIN, Murline Dunn

Oklahoma City, OK--MURLINE DUNN CARLIN, following a lengthy illness, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 1999. Born to Arthur & Minnie Carter Dunn on February 6, 1912, in Pickles Gap, Faulkner County, Arkansas, she was the second of six children. Mrs. Carlin was predeceased by her husband, L. E. Carlin; two sons, John Thomas and Chester; her parents and siblings. Surviving loved ones are her four children, Kathryn Phillips of Escondido, CA, Charles Carlin of Dallas, Janice Stevens of Houston, and Raymond Carlin, Sr. of Midwest City, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Mrs. Carlin was the catalyst that created a close-knit extended family with relationships which have blessed all the members. A member of the First Christian Church of Midwest City since 1950, Mrs. Carlin has served the church in several capacities, including Deacon. Mr. and Mrs. Carlin served as Co-Chairmen of the Membership committee and have supported many church and community projects. A special interest for them has been the church library. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Christian Church of Midwest City Library. Services will be Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens. --Daily Oklahoman, The (Oklahoma City, OK) - July 27, 1999.
