MEMPHIS, TN--LYNDA B. DOYLE, 63, of Memphis, homemaker, died of heart disease Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, Ark., with burial in Poe Cemetery in Grant County, Ark.
Mrs. Doyle, the wife of James Robert Doyle, also leaves a daughter, Lauri Albers of Dallas; a son, James Doyle of Memphis, and three grandchildren.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - LASSIE IOLA BRANTLY DRAPER, 94, a native of Grant County, Ark., and a Peninsula resident for 17 years, died Friday, Feb. 18, (1994).
Mrs. Draper was a homemaker.
Survived by a daughter, Minnie M. Bland of Natchez, Miss.; a son, Joe D. Ladd of Newport News; a sister, Martha Ball of Arkansas; two brothers, Lender J. Brantly and Benson F. Brantly of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

WEST MEMPHIS, ARK--CHRIS C. FIKES, 23, of West Memphis, employee of East Arkansas Enterprises Inc., died Sunday at the home of his parents in Cordova after a short illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff, Ark., with burial in Ramick Cemetery in Grant County, Ark.
He was a member of South Wood Baptist Church in Germantown.
He leaves his parents, Conley W. and Pamela Fikes of Cordova; a sister, Stephanie Kennedy of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Eric W. Fikes of Windsor, Conn., and his grandparents, Conley and Berta Fikes of Pine Bluff, and Herbert and Louise Miller of Baton Rogue, La.

WINTER HAVEN, FL--KENNETH E. KELLEY, 62, of Winter Haven died Wednesday at St. Augustine General Hospital. A native of Grant County, Ark., he moved to this area from Fairview Heights, Ill., three years ago. He was a retired mechanical superintendent with Alton & Southern Division of Southern Pacific Railroad in East St. Louis, Ill., and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Blue Lodge in Pine Bluff, Ark., and Scottish Rite in Belleville, Ill. He is survived by his wife, Fannie-Lee; two daughters, Sandra Lace of Marshfield, Mo., and Brenda Stipp of Danville, Ind.; two brothers, Tommie of Pine Bluff and C.D. of Springfield, Ore.; two sisters, Connie Mackleit of Spokane, Wash., and Mira Huffman of Moses Lake, Wash.; and four grandchildren. LILLIAN ANNA (Nee MUELLER) LIKWARZ, Age 80 of Sheridan, AR, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, was born Sept. 9, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Manke Mueller. Died Nov. 10, 1997 in Sheridan. Survivors include sons Tom Likwarz of Hustisford and Rick Likwarz of Verona, WI; 1 daughter Merrie Vannucci, Sheridan, AR. Further survived by 1 sister Helen Schueneman of Wisconsin, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. BATON ROUGE, LA--VELMA APPLING PRICE, Died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994. She was a a retired Oak Park Animal Hospital bookkeeper. Funeral services at Robinson & Son Funeral Home chapel, Pine Bluff, Ark., at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Ramick Cemetery, Grant County, Ark. Survived by three sons, Richard, Michael and James Levey; a daughter, Brenda Hartsfield; two stepdaughters, Vicki Gremillion and Ginger Miller; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Charles I. Price.

FORT WORTH, TX - MABEL CLARA RICHARDSON, a homemaker died Friday at a Justin nursing home. She was 80.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Grant County, Ark., and had lived in Fort Worth for 56 years.
Survivors: Husband, Marcus Clayton of Fort Worth; son, Bob W. Richardson of Benbrook; two daughters, Jo Ann Beatty of Fort Worth and Judy Griffin of Hurst; brother, E.R. White of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Laura Anderson of Lewisville and Aillen Wingard of Sheridan, Ark.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

BOBBY JEAN SCARBROUGH, age 61, of Sheridan, Ar., formerly of Oklahoma City, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1988, at his home. Born March 12, 1927, in Ft. Smith, Ar. He was retired from Tom Harper & Associates Century 21 in Bryant, Ar. He was a member of the Selectman Methodist Church, OKC. He was a truck driver for Red Ball for 22 years, a driver for Batesville Truck Lines 4 years. He was a Mason in Amity Lodge No. 473, OKC, and was a WWII Army veteran. Survived by his wife, Bobbie Dean Alexander Scarbrough; 4 sons, Randal Jean Scarbrough of Norman, Ok., Lloyd Alexander Jr., Dana Alexander and Brooke Alexander, all of Sheridan, Ar.; 3 daughters, Vanessa Flores and Stephany Hickey, of OKC, Shana Hanson of Triangle, Va.; a brother, Kern Scarbrough, OKC; 8 grandchildren. OAK RIDGE, TN–MIRL LEE WHITMIRE STACKS, Mother of Sue C. Scroggs, 89, of Sheridan, Ark., died Saturday, July 11, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Stacks was the mother of Sue C. Scroggs of Oak Ridge.
She was born in the Ico community near Sheridan on July 23, 1908, the daughter of John Edward and Homer Virginia Breazeal Whitmire.
Mrs. Stacks was a homemaker. She was a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church at Ico and was a lifetime resident of Grant County, Ark.
She and her husband of 68 years, Wesley Luther Stacks, who survives, lived in the same house for the past 50 years, her family said.
She had a love for family and children, her family said. For many years she kept children in her home, and those children continued to visit her through the years.
Mrs. Stacks was an avid quilt maker. Her children and grandchildren were the recipients of the quilts, which she made from clothing they had worn in years past.
In addition to her husband and her local daughter, she is survived by another daughter, Pat Ramsey of East End, Ark.; a sister, Myrtis Stevens of Sheridan; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Two other daughters, Betty Jo Stacks and Mary Lou Stacks Wood, and a brother, Basil Whitmire, died earlier.
A graveside service was to be held at 10 this morning, July 14, at Bethel North Cemetery near Sheridan with the Rev. C. M. Lewallen, the Rev. Bob Stevens and the Rev. Alvin K. Pitt officiating.
Pallbearers were Johnny Ramsey, Al Pitt, Ryan Pitt, Louis Wiggins, Tommy Stevens, Harry Tapp and Buddy Nichols.
Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan is handling arrangements.

PINE BLUFF, ARK--MYRTIE GINNETT CROSSETT STEVENS, 81, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Memphis, retired seamstress for Kraus Model Cleaners, died of heart failure Saturday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hale-South Funeral Home in Pine Bluff with burial in Ramick Cemetery in Grant County, Ark.
She was a member of Winston Drive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stevens, the widow of Clarence G. Crossett and John Lester Stevens, leaves two daughters, Bonnie Jean McConnell of Memphis and Shirley M. Dubree of Pine Bluff; a son, Jimmy Lee Crossett of Grapevine, Ark., eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - HAZEL MATHEWS TROUT, a former resident of Hurst, died Monday at a Little Rock, Ark., nursing home. She was 83.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today in Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, Ark. Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home of Little Rock is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Trout was born in Grant County, Ark. She was the co-owner of Stan's House of Maple in Odessa.
She retired from Monsanto Co. She moved to Little Rock from Hurst in April 1990.
Survivors: Two nieces.

DALLAS, TX--Services are set for GEORGE YOUNG--Services for funeral home founder George Young will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Young died Wednesday at RHD Memorial Medical Center in Farmers Branch. He was 88.
The native of Grant County, Ark., moved to Dallas in 1935 and became associated with Restland Memorial Park, which was founded in 1925 on a 93-acre farm on Old Greenville Road. Mr. Young acquired the company six years later.
According to his daughter, Carol Ann Marvin of Dallas, Mr. Young's success with Restland can be summed up by his often-quoted philosophy, "Restland was a service business, required attention to detail, consideration of your fellow man and, above all, integrity."
From 1957 to 1968, Restland added Restland Funeral Home and acquired Laurel Land Memorial Park and Funeral Home and Singing Hills Funeral Home, all in Dallas. These properties were sold to Stewart Enterprises Inc. of New Orleans in 1979.
During his longtime career with Restland, Mr. Young served as president of the Texas Cemeteries Association, the Western Cemetery Alliance and the National Cemetery Association, which awarded him the Distinguished Service Award of 1975.
Mr. Young was president of American Trust Life Insurance Co., a Dallas legal reserve company that he chartered in 1955, and also was involved with American Trust Co., which he purchased in 1941.
Throughout his business career, Mr. Young was active in many organizations, including serving as director of Citizens State Bank of Richardson, Mercantile National Bank of Dallas and Fidelity Union Life Insurance Co.
He was also affiliated with several organizations, including the Salesmanship Club of Dallas
Mr. Young received many honors, including the Ouachita Baptist University distinguished alumnus award in 1972. In 1978, he was awarded the Pioneer Leader Award from the Salvation Army.
Other survivors include his wife, Fay Cameron Young of Dallas; two sisters, Muriel Woodson of Dallas and Hazel Miller of Austin; a niece, Dawn Woodson Coplin of Dallas; a nephew, Vaughan George Miller of Houston; and two grandchildren.
