KANSAS CITY, MO--M. CATHERINE BREAZEAL, 94, Malvern, AR, died October 23, 1998. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, at the First Presbyterian Church, Malvern, AR.
Mrs. Breazeal was born May 24, 1904, in Leola, AR.
Her maiden name was Dial.
Her husband, Clarence, and son, Joseph, preceded her in death. The Breazeals were married for 69 years, living many years in Kansas City and Trenton, MO, later retiring to Malvern, AR.
Mrs. Breazeal taught school for several years in Kansas City, was a member of P.E.O. and was active in the Presbyterian church all her adult life.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Carol Vernon, Charlottesville, VA; grandson

NORMAN, OK–JUDGE JOHN CLARK CALDWELL, 77, of Norman, died suddenly at his home Monday. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the IOOF Cemetery in Norman.
Born May 24, 1911 at Malvern, Ar., the son of John Clark Sr. and Lola Phillips Caldwell. He attended the University of Arkansas and moved to Okla. in 1933, where he was employed as secretary to Col. Frank Cleckler with the University of Okla. He entered the University of Okla. and graduated with a combination of LLB and AB Degrees. While in law school, he was secretary to Dean Julian C. Monnett. In 1937, he and his family moved to Ardmore, Ok., where he began practicing law with S.A. George. In 1942, he was elected as District Judge for the 20th Judicial District, serving for 16 years. After establishing a private practice of law, he was appointed in 1967, as Assistant District Attorney in Johnston County, serving until 1969. In 1969, he was appointed by Governor Dewey Bartlett as Associate District Judge in Marshall County, a position he held until his retirement from the bench in 1974.
He and his wife, Christine Loughlin Caldwell, moved to Norman in 1982.
Survivors include his wife of the home; 3 sons, John Clark Caldwell III of Sarasota, Fl., Phillip L. Caldwell of Ardmore, Ok. and M. Da n Caldwell of Norman; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. J.H. Bo Rowland of Little Rock, Ar. and Mrs. Bill Funk of Malvern, Ar.
Friends may call at Mayes Funeral Home, Norman, from 7pm to 9pm Wednesday, Feb. 15.

BARTONVILLE, IL -- LIONEL J. FAHNESTOCK, 65, of 404 Skyview Terrace, Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Bartonville, died Sunday morning, July 9, 1995. He was pronounced dead at the scene of an auto accident on Highway 70 West in Hot Springs County, Ark.
He was born April 14, 1930, in Peoria, IL to Delmar and Rose Fischer Fahnestock.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan L. Fahnestock of Peoria; one son, Jeff J. of Peoria; three grandchildren; two brothers, Gerard and Gordon, both of Peoria; one sister, Rose Marie Fahnestock of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother.
He was a self-employed building contractor in the Peoria area until 1975. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.   --Peoria Journal Star, The (IL) - July 11, 1995


HIGH POINT, NC -JAMES KEELON HINSON, 84, of 1108 Jefferson St. died Monday at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Salvation Army Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
A native of Hot Springs County, Ark., he was a retired employee of Harriss-Covington Hosiery Mill, an active soldier of the High Point Salvation Army and a former worker for the Salvation Army Kettle Fund at Westchester Mall.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Nina Mae Miller of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Mary Patton of Red Bluff, Calif., Mrs. Loretta Palmer of Ramseur, Mrs. Rebecca Faye Farlow of Archdale; son, Col Harold D. Hinson of Atlanta; brothers, J.R. Hinson, Ernest B. Hinson, Johnny L. Hinson, all of High Point, L. Zebee Hinson of New London; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Boggs of Archdale, Mrs. Texie Wilson of Trinity; 17 grandchildren.
The family will be at Cumby Mortuary in Archdale 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

SAFFORD, Ariz. - Services for OLLIE EVALINA JEFFCOAT, 103, of Redding, CA will be conducted at David's Funeral Chapel in Safford. She died Monday, Jan. 10, 1994, at Crestwood Convalescent Hospital in Redding. Burial will be at Safford Cemetery.
Born May 4, 1890, in Hot Springs County, Ark., she moved to Redding in 1975 from Tucson, Ariz. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons Alva of Huntington Beach and Emil of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughters May Gilliland of Bend, Ore., and Luella Shaw and Vi Fullerton, both of Redding; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL–WILLIAM E. KELLY, of Ft. Lauderdale, passed away in his home on May 27, 1997 at 5 PM.
A resident of Ft. Lauderdale for 26 years, born in Malvern, Ar, on December 6, 1938.
Survived by his wife, Dora; 2 daughters, Tanya Shamhart (Clyde) of Alexander, AR, and Sherry Taylor (Tim) of Malvern, Ar; 2 step-daughters, Tracy Kelly (Steve) of Perryville, AR, Tammy Giordano (Chris) of Ft. Lauderdale; step-son, Stacy Windle (Gloria) of Ft. Lauderdale; brother, Stephen Kelly (Tracy) of Perryville, AR; 9 grandchildren, Christie, Kathleen, Creson, Dedrie, Stephanie, Jeremiah, Tabitha, Graig, and Todd. 
Mr. Kelly was an avid golfer and was on the links at every opportunity.  He was employed by Stephens Distributing of Dania, Fl.  He had been employed in the distribution of Anheiser Busch products for 26 years.

BANNING, CA--Graveside services for HENRY E. KRATZ, 89, will be at 10 a.m. today at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimesa. He died Tuesday of pneumonia at Cherry Valley Health Care in Banning. Wiefels & Son Mortuary in Banning is handling arrangements
Mr. Kratz, who was born in Hot Springs County, Ark., lived in Banning for 44 years. He was a self-employed accountant. He was a member of the Banning Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his stepdaughter, Mary Miles of Huntington Beach, two sisters and one brother.

GENEVA, IN–CARL “POP” R. NEAL, 82, of Geneva, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Adams County Hospital Extended Care. 
The Hot Springs County, Ark., native (born in 1916) repaired clocks and sharpened saws for many years. He was also in the education field.
Surviving are his wife, Iva P.; sons Alex of Geneva and Shelby of Port Orange, Fla.; daughters Shirley Ellis of Geneva and Betty Swoveland of Uniopolis, Ohio; a sister, Mary Whiteman of Stockton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services are pending at Downing Funeral Home, Geneva. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.

DECATUR , IL--MRS. HORACE REID, 83, of Decatur died 12:15 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 19, 1996) at the home of her daughter.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 26, in Rockport Cemetery, Malvern, AR. Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern, AR. is in charge of arrangements. Brintlinger's Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Reid was born in Lonsdale, AR., on March 30, 1913, the daughter of William H. and Edna Lucy (Rook) Bland. She married Horace Reid in 1931 in Hot Springs, Ar. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1965.
Surviving are one daughter, Bette Short and her husband Russell of Decatur, IL; 1 Granddaughter Victoria Short and her husband Jack McBryde of Houston, TX; 1 Great-Grandson Christopher McBryde of Houston, TX; a brother, Arnold Bland of Sheridan, AR.; and a niece, Jacqueline Brooks of Marrero, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Horace Jr., one brother and one sister.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–LEE E. SCOTT, age 72, of MWC, died Monday, June 18, 1990. He was born Aug. 1, 1917 in Malvern, Ar.
He came to MWC in 1968. He was a member of the Sooner Baptist Church. He was in the U.S. Air Force, serving during WWII, Korean Conflict, Viet Nam, and was stationed in Japan, Libya, England and France.
He married Ruby Easterly April 1946 in Malvern, Ar.
Survived by his wife, Ruby of the home; a son, Gary Scott of Edmond; a daughter, Diane Moryl of Valparaiso, In.; a granddaughter, Jessica D. Scott of Edmond; 4 brothers, Edward Scott, Long Beach, Ca., Walter Scott, Rockford, Il., Harold Scott, Hot Springs, Ar., George Scott, Rockford, Il.
Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Louis, and a sister, Ruth.
Services 10am Friday, Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, burial Arlington Memory Gardens.
