NORFOLK, VA-- AGUSTIN G. AMADOR, 59, (CM1, U.S. Navy retired) died Sunday, July 27, 1997. A native of Bradley, Ark., he had been a Hampton resident for 10 years.
CM1 Amador is survived by his wife, Gloria L. Amador of Virginia Beach; five daughters, Ruth A. Rowe of Norfolk, Anita A. Riojas of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marie A. Arena of Belmont, Mass., Irene A. Casto of Key West, Fla., Clara A. Crawford of Patuxent River, Md.; three sons, Agustin G. Amador Jr. and Micahel L. Amador, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Robert D. Amador of Portsmouth; eight sisters, Aurora C. Zungia, Enriquetta G. Arroila, Nellie G. Manchaca, Racquel G. Cisneros, Maria G. Cisneros, Nellie G. Amador, Beatrice G. Amador, Katarena G. Amador; three brothers, Ferman G. Cisneros, Louis G. Cisneros and Trancito G. Amador, all of Texas; 12 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter; and a dear friend, Harvey Markman of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald J. Cavey. The family will receive friends Wednesday before the service from 2 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. The interment will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 4 in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for MRS. RACHAEL MAURINE BURNS CARR, 85, of Shreveport will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2002 in Centuries Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. T. Floyd Davis, Jr., pastor of Woodridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carr passed away Friday, September 6, 2002 in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Lafayette County, AR where she was raised by her loving great aunt and uncle, Robert and Fannie Keoun. She had resided in Shreveport since 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of the Woodridge Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Corrie Riddle Burns, her husband, James Davis Carr and brothers, Samuel Clifton and Elma Lamar Burns.
Mrs. Carr is survived by two daughters, Janiene Carr Creel and husband Billy of Shreveport and Karen Carr Hogan and husband Randy of Dallas, TX five grandsons, Kevin R. Creel and wife, Shannon, Keith Creel, Kris Creel and wife Amy, Brian Young and Jeremy Young and also by five great grandchildren, Erik Young, Kendall Creel, Amber Young, Stacy Creel and Amanda Creel. BATON ROUGE, LA–F. C. “PAT” JESTER--Died Sunday, May 1, 1994, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He was 74, a native of Bradley, Ark. and resident of Eureka Springs. He was a retired boilermaker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served as a driver for President Franklin D. Roosevelt and General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Visiting was held at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at funeral home chapel 9 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Pruitt, the Rev. Richard Legford and the Rev. Jeff Cambre. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
Survived by wife, Leola Harris Jester, Eureka Springs; a daughter, Patsy J. Palmour, Baker; a son, Sonny Jester, Eureka Springs; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry, David and Pat Jester, Darrell and Daniel Palmour and Allan Arsenealt. He was a member of Assembly of God Church and Boilermakers Local No 582.

ORLANDO, FL--REGINA ARBESS JONES, 56, 429 E. Pine St., Orlando, died Thursday. Born in Bradley, Ark., she moved to Orlando in 1957. She was a real estate salesperson. She was a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors: son, Michael Eugene, Cleveland, Tenn.; daughter, Deborah Jeanne Hall, Stone Mountain, Ga.; brothers, Ardis T. Allen Jr., Benton, La., Philip M. Allen, Longwood, Jerry T. WALNUT CREEK CA--LOLA LARRY, a homemaker, died in Concord. She was 76. The native of Lafayette County, Ark., lived in Walnut Creek for two months and previously lived in San Joaquin County.
Survivors: Brother, W.T. Thomas of Stockton; one niece.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Thompson Memorial Chapel in Stockton, with burial at Stockton Rural Cemetery. 3-8 p.m. visitation Monday at the chapel.

G. B. PICKETT, JR.

Birmingham, AL - Springhill, LA - Funeral services for Mr. G. B. Pickett, Jr., 80, of Birmingham, AL were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Springhill with Rev. Charlie Langford officiating. Burial was in the Springhill Cemetery.
Mr. Pickett was born in Bradley, AR, a descendent of Grady Bert and Nora Mae Glasgow Pickett and passed away Monday, March 25, 2002, in Birmingham, AL after a short illness. He spent much of his childhood in Lafayette County, AR. After graduating Springhill High School, Mr. Pickett entered into the U. S. Air Force during World War II.
Shortly after his discharge from the Air Force, he founded Pickett Food Service, Inc. in Springhill, LA with headquarters being later moved to Shreveport. Doyle R. Pickett, Mr. Pickett's brother joined the firm as a co-owner shortly after it was founded. The company became one of the largest food service contractors in government and industry in the nation with operations from Kennedy Federal Center in Boston to Hickham Air Force Base in Hawaii. The company and its subsidiary, Pickett Industries, Inc., provided numerous contract services to government and industry. G. B. Pickett was also a founder of Coastal Towing with headquarters in Houston, TX. A couple of Mr. Pickett's more local attractions were the Hayride Kitchen north of Bossier City and the Lumberjack Cafe' in Springhill, LA.
Mr. Pickett served as chairman of the Board of Springhill Bank and Trust Company and was a founder and charter director of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Springhill. He was a member of the Springhill United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge #348 F&AM in Springhill, a Shriner and member of the El Karubah Temple in Shreveport, LA. Also, he was a member of the Scottish Rites and 32 degree Mason.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all aspects of life with exuberance and thankfulness for each day. He will be missed greatly by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mollie Pickett.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Davis Pickett; daughters, Tracie Ann Pickett Campbell and husband, Ronny of Minden, LA and Shirley Jennings and husband, Jarvis of Springhill, LA; step-daughter, Alicia Haynes Kaufmann and husband Andy, of Birmingham, AL; son, Gregory Bryan "Bill" Pickett and wife, Cindy of Buffalo, WY; step-sons, Kenneth Drew Haynes and wife, Marguerite of Birmingham, AL, Robert Scott Haynes and wife, Gia, of Shongaloo, LA; sister, Dorothy Pickett Burke, of Springhill; a brother, Doyle R. Pickett and his wife, Pat of Shreveport; grandchildren, Greg Watkins and wife, Candy, Clint Campbell and wife, Jennifer, Shane Pickett and wife, Sondra, Hollie and Taylor Pickett; step-grandchildren, Abigail and Andrew Kaufmann, Claire Haynes, Slade and Haven; Cheryl Collins and husband, Raymond; Michael Jennings and wife, Emily, Gregory Jennings and wife, Tammy; great-grandchildren, Garrett B. Watkins, Zack, Chaz and Jacob Collins, Joshua and Silas Jennings and Josh Jennings.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Watkins, Clint Campbell, Shane Pickett, Kenny Haynes, Robert Haynes and Andy Kaufmann. Honorary pallbearers will be H. D. FORT WORTH, TX - WILLIAM DAWSON “BUDDY” TWITTY, JR., 81, a 25-year Fort Worth resident, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley, Ark. The Rev. Spencer Plumley will officiate. Visitation: Smith Funeral Home.
William Dawson "Buddy" Twitty Jr. was born March 15, 1917, in Bradley, Ark. He moved to Fort Worth from Bradley, where he was a home builder and general contractor with his pioneer father in the construction industry. He continued home building and construction business after moving to Fort Worth in 1973. He was a member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church in Fort Worth and a retired member of the Bradley, Ark., school board.
Survivors: Wife of 25 years, LaVelle Henry Twitty of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Carol Twitty Baker and her husband, Roger, of Lake Cherokee; sister, Annie M. Hochstafl of Bossier City, La.; grandchildren, Sandra Baker Turner and her husband, John, of Hallsville and Kimberly Baker Decherd and her husband, Jonathan, of Marietta, Ga., and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Leslie and Zachary Turner of Hallsville and Danielle and Mallory Decherd of Marietta and Rio de Janeiro.
