ALTMAN, W. T. (Billy) died at Walnut Ridge Wednesday night (cMay 8, 1968) following a long illness.  He was a leading businessman for 30 years prior to his retirement, had been an active civic leader and active member of the Methodist Church for over 70 years.  (The Times Dispatch, May 1968)

CALLAHAN, Roy J., age 80, b. Apr 27, 1911 Portia, AR, son of Minor and Maggie (Saffel) Callahan; married Louise Lee August 4, 1935; d. Apr 8, 1992 at Cape Girardeau, MO; buried in I O O F Cemetery in Charleston, MO.

DUCKWORTH, Gary--Funeral services for Gary Duckworth of Memphis, TN, son of Velma Duckworth of Black Rock, were Tuesday (May 13, 2008) in Millington, TN, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.  He is also survived by his wife, a brother, Charles, and two sisters, Becky and Susan.  He is a former resident of Black Rock.

MARTIN, Alpha Richey, 87 of West Memphis--Word came to family members Saturday (May 10, 2008) of the death of Alpha Richey Martin, 87, of West Memphis.  She died in Mississippi where she was living near her daughter.  Alpha is the last of the 10 children of the late William Clinton and Ethel Casper Richey and was born at Lynn on July 17, 1921, along with her twin brother, Alva, who died in 2005.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Martin in 2002.  Visitation was to be in West Memphis Monday evening and the funeral Tuesday in Kennett, Mo., where burial was to take place.  She is survived by two sons, Jimmy and Lloyd Martin, Jr., as well as a daughter, Patsy Carson of Mississippi.

WATTS, William (Billy) of Mesa, Ariz.  Word was received late Saturday night (May 10, 2008) by friends telling of the death on May 10 of William "Billy" Watts, who was a member of the 1961 graduating class at Lynn High School.  He is the son of the late Bill and Alice Watts who lived at Lynn for several years during the 1950s and 1960s.  Among his survivors are a brother, Thomas "Bobo" Watss of Enola; four half-sisters, Jeanette Watts Dunkin, Diaz, Carlean Pfister Tongkeamha, Mesquite, Texas, Brenda Watts Jones and Candi Pfister Fears.  Billy had a lung transplant a couple of years ago and the lungs were working fine.  Other complications caused his death.  Billy was formerly of Strawberry.  Arrangements will be in Phoenix.
