Fort Smith, Ark., April 4.--Tom Moore, alleged safe blower, was released by authorities at Cushing, Okla., Monday to a man who represented himself to be a deputy sheriff from Madison County, Okla (sic-ARK), but who now is believed to have been one of Moore's accomplices, it was said today by J. V. Bourland, United States district attorney.  Moore was arrested charged with having forfeited a $1,000 bond to insure his appearance in the United States district court at Harrison, Ark., to answer a charge of stealing postoffice funds when it is alleged Moore and several companions robbed a bank at Huntsville, Madison County, Ark. in (illegible)  Cushing officials told Mr. Bourland that they turned Moore over to a man who said he was W. P. Higgins and who had a commission showing that he was a Madison county sheriff.  Nothing has been seen of Moore or the supposed officer since and the Madison county sheriff says he does not know Higgins.
