Will of Christopher Edrington

In the Name of God Amen, I Christopher Ederington of King George County & Parish of Hanover being of perfect sense and memory thanks be to God therefore, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and that it is
appointed for all men once to die do make this my Last Will and Testament.

Imprimis: I give unto my son William Ederington one negro woman named Jenny, one negro girl named Nell, one Negro Boy named Bob - to him and his heirs lawfuly begot of his body and if he dye with out such heir to fall to my son John Ederington - him and his heirs lawfully begot of his body.

Item: I give unto my son John Ederington all my lands and one negro man named Bambo and one negro girl name Bess to him and his heirs lawfully begot of his body and if he die without such heir to fall to my son William Ederington.

Item: I give unto my daughter Hester Ederington one Negro girl named Frank to her and her heirs lawfully begot of her body and if she dye without such heirs lawfully begot of her body and if she dye with out such heir to fall between my two daughter Sarah Ammon and Susanna Hales to them and their body.

Item: I give to my daughter Hester one cow and calf and one feather bed and likewise to my two son William & John each of these a feather bed.

Item: Item I give to my son Christopher Ederington ten shillings Current money of Virginia.

Item I give to each of my five daughters, viz; Mary Quisenbury, Elizabeth Richardson, Sarah Ammon, Mildred Triplett and Susanna Hales, each of them ten shillings Current Money.

Item I give unto my loving wife Mary one Negro Woman named Beny, one negro man named Harry and one negro girl named Pegg together with all the rest of my estate.

My Will and desire is that my Son William and my son John be my executors of this my last will and Testament. My desire is that me estate be not appraised. As Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale, December the last 1737.

The last Will & Testament of Christopher Ederington, Deceased was presented in to Court by William and John Edrington his Executors who made oath thereto and the same was proved by the oath of Francis Jett and admitted to record.
