Ouachita County was formed on November 29, 1842 and named for an Indian Tribe and also for the Ouachita River. The County Seat is at Camden. It is home to two United States Senators: David Pryor, 1978-1997 and Mark Pryor, 2002-? David Pryor was also a former Governor.
The Courthouse address is: P. O. Box 644, Camden, AR 71711-0644
Some of the cities and towns include: Bearden-Camden-Chidester-East Camden-Louann-Reader-Stephens.
