Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the service Friday at the chapel. Burial will be at Anderson District Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Born Feb. 7, 1911, in Perry County, Ark., she moved to Shasta County in 1954 from Dexter, Texas. She was a homemaker. DUKE, 89, a seamstress, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in Fort Worth.

Thelma Duke was born on Sept. 6, 1909, in Perry County, Ark. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star San Antonio Chapter. She was a past matron in 1955 and past deputy of the grand matron in 1958. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Benbrook. She was also one of the quilters for the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Duke; and son, Orbrey L. Duke. Survivors: Daughter, Betty Giaimo and her husband, Frank, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Cheri Hennesey, Lori Giaimo, Kim Eliff, Alisa Hernandez and Paula Morales; nine great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Alta Duke of California. Mr. Johnson was a native of Perry County, Ark. (Born July 25, 1913) He lived in Hilmar 54 years. He was district manager for Woodmen Accident & Life Insurance for 40 years. He was a charter member of the board of directors of the Hilmar Water District. He worked at the Oakland naval shipyards during World War II. He was a member of Hilmar Covenant Church. His wife, Leona V. Johnson of Hilmar; children, Ron Johnson of Danville, Charles Johnson of Turlock and Charlene Rogers of Modesto; and four grandchildren survive him. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hilmar Covenant Church. Private inurnment. Mrs. Lanners, who was born in Perry County, Ark., lived in Hemet for 15 years. She was a nurse for four years with the Ramona Visiting Nurses Association in Hemet. CHARLES, MO–GLADYS R. LUND, 85, of St. Charles, died Wednesday (Aug. 27, 1997) at the Charlevoix Nursing Home in St. Charles after a long illness.
Mrs. Lund was a homemaker. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at May Cemetery in Houston, Ark. She was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Melba Brooks of Brooklyn, N.Y., Oma Ballard of Jacksonville, Fla., Mary Giakas of Memphis, Tenn., Pauline Scott of Waldron and Jane Watts of Mapleton; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Waldron First Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in Parks Cemetery in Parks, Ark. born in Perryville, Arkansas and he had lived in Oklahoma City for the
past 30 years. He was a member of Britton Assembly of God Church and
was a World War I Army Veteran. He is survived by three sons Stan of
Oklahoma City, Delbert Edmond, Billy Joe ofOKC, five daughters
Marie Eves of Louisiana, Helen Mobley of Blair, Ok, Annabell Medeires
of OKC, Zaddie Parker of Illinois & Elizabeth Privit of Edmond,
