Sharp County The home of the beautiful Spring River, Cherokee Village Resort area, Hardy Tourist Mecca, Evening Shade, made famous by the 1990s TV show of the same name, as well as other villages and towns. Sharp County had an estimated population in 2004 of 17,491. The county seat is at Ash Flat. The county was named for Ephraim Sharp, state legislator. It is located in the northeastern area of the state.
