Woodruff County Arkansas Genealogy Trails ![]() --Another Bell Elector
out for Breckinridge.Col. J. H. Patterson, of Augusta, Arkansas, who
was appointed an assistant elector on the Bell ticket, has written a
letter to the Augusta Standard, declining to serve in that capacity,
and says he shall support Breckinridge and Lane, as he says they are
planted upon a plat form that “will admit of no double construction as
to what the rights of the South are under the constitution.

It will be held at Augusta in October. --Mr. Thompson, living near Augusta, was bitten some weeks ago by a mad dog and died last Saturday in great agony.
