Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. Davee of 11838 E. Cheshire celebrate their golden wedding anniversary last week. A small dinner party at their home marked the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Davee, 80 and 79 respectively, were married January 18, 1915 in Larned. Kansas. They moved to Tujunga, California in 1928, to Bellflower in 1935 and came to Norwalk in 1951.
The Davee's have eight children, 33 grandchildren and 17 great grand children. Five of their daughters are residents of Southern California. Mrs. Thomas Elliott lives in Los Alamitos, Mrs. M.H. Penrose in Norwalk; Mrs. V.H. Mathews, Downey, Mrs. U. Casey Artesia, and mrs. A.L. Penrose, San Pedro. Two other daughters are Mrs. E. J. Stowell of Enterprise, Utah and mrs. Duane Leonard of cherokee, Iowa. their son E.Y. Davee is serving with the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in Germany.
