Married. Gouverneur Morris, famed novelist, to Ruth Wightman, his secretary; at Salinas, Cal., a year ago. The marriage was made public last week when a second ceremony was held just after Mr. Morris had obtained a final decree of divorce from his first wife, Elise Waterbury Morris, in Los Angeles. Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Mary Adele Meng, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Meng of Hollywood, Calif., formerly of Rochester, and Philip E.T. Brine of Los Angeles on December 22. Mr. and Mrs. Brine will reside at 462 Victoria avenue, Los Angeles. The bride is well-known in Canandaigua having often visited relatives and friends in this city.
