KILLED IN CAR
Saguache, Colo., Oct. 29-Mrs. Mary Lulina Lucero, 72, of Center, was killed and five other people injured when their automobile landed upside down after being forced off highway U.S. 285 three miles east of Saguache.

CANDIDATE KILLED
Center, Colo., October 13-In a quarrel over a livery bill of four dollars today, W.W. McCoy, proprietor of a livery stable and Republican candidate for assessor, was shot and killed by Perry Talbott of Denver, a carpenter. Talbott fired six shots, five of which took effect. The sixth shot struck a horse.
     Talbott was immediately arrested and rushed to the jail at Saguache.

TREASURER SUICIDES
Saguache, Colo., Sept. 11-Wilson P. Williams, for three terms treasurer of Saguache county, was dead today, a suicide according to a coroner's verdict Williams shot himself while walking on the Main street of the town last night.

Deer Excites man; He Dies as Heart Fails
Saguache, Colo., Oct. 14-Ray Roberts, of Stanford, Tex., became so excited when he sighted a deer while hunting and shot at it several times that he died of a heart attack, it was believed today.
     The body was found yesterday and brought here from a dude ranch 50 miles west of Saguache. He was about 65 years old. He was believed to be the first casualty of the 1938 deer hunting season.
     Roberts told hunting companions yesterday that he would search some more before returning to camp. Several empty shells were near the body.
