Welcome to
Litchfield County CT. I am your State Host,
Nancy Washell. I am originally from CT and
have done extensive genealogy work, however,
mostly from mid-state towards the eastern part of
the state.
Genealogy Trails is a great

**Litchfield County is the
youngest in the State in point of
organization--having been incorporated at the
October Session, 1751. Much of the land,
moreover, having been very rough and uninviting,
some of our towns were the very last in the State
to be settled.
