MRS. FRANALONA JUNE SHEFFER

Mrs. Franalona June Sheffer, 87 years old, a resident of Coconut Grove, died yesterday afternoon in the home of her son, Rev. B. F. Sheffer, in Seminole avenue. Mrs. Sheffer was a native of Kentucky, she was born in Hudson county where she was a member of the Methodist church. She leaves her son, Mr. Sheffer, and Mrs. H. W. Tenley of Ackerman, Miss., J. W. White, Ceruleau, Ky.; the Rev. J. H. Nicholson of Elizabethtown, Ky., presiding elder for that district; and Mr. Sheffer’s sons, Frank Jr., and Paul Sheffer of Miami and Powell and Herman Sheffer of Coconut Grove. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon in the Grace M. E. church at Coconut Grove by the Rev. R. A. Carnine, district superintendent of the Miami district. King Undertaking company have charge of the funeral arrangements and will ship the body to Tampa for burial.

MRS. SALLIE SMITH

A very sad death occurred in Plant City this week. Mrs. Sallie Smith, wife of J. M. Smith, died Tuesday evening after a brief illness of one week. This estimable lady was the daughter of the late Charles Warraneer, and had moved to this place from Hartford, Conn., about twenty-two years ago. Mrs. Smith was a lady of kind heart and disposition, and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. She leaves a husband and one son, besides several brothers to mourn her loss. The service was held in the Methodist church after which internment was made in Oaklawn cemetery.

MRS. ADA STARLING


Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Starling, 52 of 2210 Thirty-first street, who died  Friday, were held yesterday afternoon from the funeral home of F. T. Blount with the Rev. I. J. Bolton, evangelist of the Holiness church, conducting the services, Burial was in Orange Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were C. W. Emerson, M. H, Demaree, W. R. Jones, E. D. Starling, L. L.Lucas and Ivy Thomas.
