TRUMAN E. PADGETT, 68, 244 W. University Ave., Orange
City, died Thursday. Born in West Palm Beach, he moved
to Orange City from DeLand in 1982. He was a retired
lineman for Florida Power and Light Co. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Delray Beach. He
was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was
an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife,
Jacquelene; sons, Truman E. Jr., Gulfport, Miss.,
John, Orange City; brothers, Norman, Ray Watson, both
of West Palm Beach, Robert Powers, Warner Robins, Ga.,
Stewart Williams, Lake Placid, Herbert Williams,
Okeechobee; sisters, Mary Hickman, Sanford, Sylvia
Burkett, Basinger; seven grandchildren. Allen-

Catherine Helen Sheldon, 78, Chalfont Drive, Orlando,
died Saturday, Sept.
5, of congestive heart failure. Mrs. Sheldon was a homemaker. Born in
Chicago,
she moved to Central Florida in 1976. She was a member of Holy Family
Catholic
Church. Survivors: daughters, Cathy A.Ciullo, Orlando, Mary Kenny, Chicago
Ridge, Ill.; sons, George E., St.Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dr. Richard

Destin, Joseph J. Matteson, Ill., Mark F., Palatka; 18 grandchildren;
