Granger a Justice of the Peace of the County above mentioned conducting the Board of County Commissioners in and for the County stated do hereby Certify that We meta at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, of the County aforesaid, on the ninth day of November A.D. One thousand and eight hundred and Seventy, and publicly Canvassed the Votes given at a General Election held in the County of Polk the same being the Tuesday next succeeding the first Monday in Said month under and by virtue of an as entitled An Act to provide for the Registration of Elections and the holding of Elections, approved August 6th 1868, and an Act Amandatory _____, approved February 19th 1874 We so hereby Certify from the Witness on file in the office of the Clerk aforesaid. Frank Clark a Justice of the Peace of the county above mentioned constituting the Board of County Canvassers in and for the county Stated, do here by certify that we met at the Office of the clerk of the Circuit Court of the county aforesaid on the ninth day of May the Same being Four days after the General Election held in the county of Polk and State aforesaid, on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, A.D. 1885, under the provisions of the Election Laws of the State.
