BARTOW, Nov. 2. -- Mrs. Florida Hankins died at Daytona and was brought here and interred in Wildwood cemetery on Wednesday. Mrs. Hankins has lived here for many years and was greatly loved by her many friends, who mourn her loss and sympathize with her relatives. At the time of her death she was on a visit to her son Maxwell at Daytona.

LAKE ALFRED – Mrs. FLORENCE KATHRYN WASHBURN HAWLEY, 85, of Marantha Heights, Lake Alfred, died yesterday morning at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Tidioute, Pa., and came to Lake Alfred in 1952 from Bedford, Pa. She is survived by her husband, B. S Hawley; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Pratt, St. Petersburg and Mrs. Olga Williamson, St. Petersburg; one brother, Frederick Yeager, St. Petersburg. Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Marantha Heights with the Rev. David E. Dietzel, pastor of Lake Alfred Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Alfred. Mitchell Funeral Home.

PLANT CITY – Funeral services for HENRY FORD HENDRIX, 39, of 1512 West Lowery Ave., Plant City, who died Friday, will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Haynes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Tyson officiating. Burial will be in the Turkey Creek Cemetery. Mr. Hendrix is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flossie Belcher Hendrix, Plant City; one daughter, Miss Carol Belcher and one son, Rex Belcher, both of Plant City; five sisters, Mrs. Ettie Mae Jacob, Samson, Ala., Mrs. Ida Lee Marlow, Lakeland, Mrs. Audrey Byrd, Chipley, Fla., Mrs. Voncile McNeal, Lakeland and Mrs. Nell Williams, Lakeland; four brothers, Lex Hendrix, Raymond Hendrix and Hilton Hendrix, all of Lakeland and Ewell Hendrix, Hartford, Ala. Nephews of the deceased will be pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Haynes Funeral Home of Plant City.

George R. Holt, 78, of 710 N. Lincoln Ave., died yesterday at a Bartow hospital. He was a native of Alabama and came here 18 years ago from Pensacola. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and a retired citrus worker. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nora B. Holt; four step-daughters, Mrs. Clara Glover of Mena, Ark., Mrs. Lena Riseley of Sarasota, and Mrs. Lois Kirby and Mrs. Jewell Arnold, both of Orlando; and three step-sons, Leo Clifton of Palmetto and Barkley and William Clifton, both of Tampa. Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home chapel, with burial in Oak Hill Burial Park.
