KATHLEEN, Jan. 2. -- Mrs. Annie Roberson, one of the old residents here died this morning. She was sixty-four years of age. The remains will be shipped to Millner, Ga., for internment.

FORT MEADE – Luther M. Roberts, 67, of 711 W. Broadway, Fort Meade, died at his residence Wednesday. He had been a resident of Fort Meade since 1937. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and was a member of the Fort Meade Police Department for 13 years, including five years as chief of police. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Carla Roberts; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtic Kilpatrick, Mulberry, Mrs. Gladis Weatherford, Lakeland, Mrs. Wilma Hendrick, Fort Meade and Mrs. Betty Carter, Beauford, S. C.; one son, Raymond Roberts, Fort Meade; three sisters, Mrs. Lovie Tucker, Bradley, Mrs. Dollie tucker, Homeland, and Mrs. Lillie Gay, Frostproof; two brothers, John Roberts, Bradley, Reuben Roberts, Omega, Ga.; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held from the Welcome Primitive Baptist Church, west of Fort Meade tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock with the Rev. J. C. Vishong, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery. Seidel Funeral Home is in charge.

Martha Rovell, 82, of 706 North Vermont Ave., died yesterday afternoon in a Lakeland nursing home after a long illness. She was a native of Baltimore, Md., and came to Lakeland nine years ago. Mrs. Rovell was a member of the Temple Emanuel. Survivors include one son, Alfred Rovell, Lakeland. Funeral services were to be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Dukes-Steen Funeral Home, with the Rabbi Irwin Cutler officiating. Burial was to be in the Temple Emanuel Cemetery.
