CANADY, Cleo
RINCON, Ga. - Mrs. Cleo Canady, 81, died Tuesday in a Savannah hospital.
Funeral services will be today at 2:30 p.m. in Port Wentworth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery near Summertown, Ga.
Mrs. Canady was a member of Port Wentworth Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. H.A. Edwards of Hillard, Fla., Mrs. J.C. Coleman of Richmond Hill, Ga., and Mrs. Thomas Johnson of Rincon, and two sons , James Canady of Swainsboro, Ga., and Cecil Canady of Coco, Fla.
Fountain Funeral Home of Port Wentworth and Shadowlawn Mortuary of Swainsboro are in charge.

KESSLER, Nesbert S.
OLIVER, Ga., Jan. 25 - Funeral services for Nesbert S. Kessler, 67, native of Effingham county who dies in Savannah Saturday were held Sunday at the Zion Lutheran church in Effingham county.
Services were conducted by the Rev. H. J. Black, D. D. pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church and the Rev. T. W. Weeks, pastor of Zion church. Interment was in the family lot of Zion cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Dasher Kessler, a niece Mrs. W. J. Hughes, Walterboro, S.C.; six nephews, Levan and Cohen Kessler of Blanford, Clarke, Earl and Herbert Kessler of Effingham county and W. B. Kessler of Savannah.
Pallbearers were Frank W. Dasher, T. B. Zittrauer, T. G. Groventstein, W. B. Kessler, Clarke Kessler, and Herbert Kessler.

NEURATH, Floyd W - RINCON
Floyd W. Neurath, 77, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Sylview Nursing Center in Sylvania. The longtime Effingham County native was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church and had worked in aircraft assembly at Gulfstream until 1997, when he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Mattie F. Neurath; his sister, Nona N. Chafin; and nephew, Carl A. Neurath, Jr. Survivors include his brothers, William Jay Neurath (Lu Neil), Earl V. Neurath (Ruby), and Carl A. Neurath, Sr. (Linda Gail); 11 nieces and nephews; 22 grands ; 3 great-grands; and loving caregivers, Cynthia Duncan, Charlotte Goldwire, Barbara Goldwire, and Rochelle Grant.
Visitation: 3-5 pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the funeral home. Funeral: 2 pm Monday at Rincon United Methodist Church. Interment: Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery.

REED, Rev. Geo.
Rev. Reed's Death.
Rev. Geo. Reed, father of Messrs. T.W. and B.S. Reed of this city as well as several other children, died on Monday night last at Clyo, Ga., and was brought here for interment. He was buried Wednesday morning from St. Philip's A.M.E. church, and as the pastor, Rev. Cargile, was absent from the city, Rev. J. B. Scott conducted the services.
Rev. Reed has been in the ministry for about thirty-five years, and is said to have been about seventy years of age when he died. Besides several sons he leaves a wife and other relatives to mourn his loss. To all of them we extend our sympathy.
