James Clinton Yingling, 61, of Chatsworth, Ga., died at the scene of a 5:41 a.m. crash on Interstate 95, 3 miles north of Doswell. Six of the seven recent traffic victims - including Yingling - were not wearing seat belts, police said.
Yingling was driving a truck south on the interstate when it ran off the left side of the road, overcorrected and overturned, partially ejecting him and trapping him under the truck.
Jose Ines Jaime Martinez, 27, of Richmond died at the scene of an 8:09 p.m. accident Monday on Midlothian Turnpike at German School Road.
The 1999 Nissan Pathfinder he was driving was headed west on Midlothian when it was struck by a car headed north on German School Road. No further details were available.
State police identified the man who died at the scene of a 2:53 a.m. crash on Sept. 10 on Jefferson Davis Highway, just north of Merriwood Road in Chesterfield, as Rual Cono Vasquez, 25, of Richmond.
Vasquez was driving a 1998 Honda Civic on Jefferson Davis Highway when he ran off the left side of the road, hit some trees and then veered across the road and hit a car and a mobile home.
Rollie Joseph Thurston, 20, of Denham Springs, La., died from injuries he received in a 7:24 p.m. crash Sunday in Virginia Beach. State police said the motorcycle he was driving collided head-on with a Honda CR-V on Sandbridge Road, just east of Lotus Drive.
Shirley Anne Kellam, 56, of Virginia Beach was killed in a 9:28 p.m. accident Monday on Centerfield Turnpike just north of Jake Sears Road in Virginia Beach. She lost control of the car she was driving, hit two other vehicles and was ejected, police said.
Joseph Edward Mickie, 48, of Stanardsville died at the scene of a 3:30 p.m. wreck Friday in Greene County. State police said the pickup truck he was driving east on U.S. 33, just west of state Route 623, was struck by an out-of-control van that was headed west on U.S. 33, crossed the center line and struck his truck, causing it to overturn.
Cynthia Lee Matthews, 48, of Onancock - the only one of the seven wearing a seat belt - died in a 1 p.m. crash Monday on northbound U.S. 13 at state Route 606 in Northampton County. She was in one of four vehicles stopped at a traffic light that were struck from behind by a tractor-trailer.
