I.V. Agnew Oct. 18, 1916 - Feb. 27, 2008 I.V. Agnew, 91, of Huntsville died Wednesday at Crestwood Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Agnew was born Oct. 18, 1916, to Mattie Talulah Sanders and Cleve Pickering of Chatsworth, Ga. She grew up in the community of Spring Place, Ga., and spent most of her life in the Dalton Ga., area. Mrs. Agnew moved to Huntsville in 1997 to be close to her family. Known for her delicious cooking, her dishes were always the favorites of family get-togethers. She was an avid gardener and will long be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a funny sense of humor and a lively spirit. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Agnew and Kenneth Richardson; her great-grandson, Grant Gregory; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her loving daughter, Marion Gregory and her husband James "Jim" D. Sr. of Huntsville; granddaughter, Amanda Gregory of Tullahoma, Tenn.; grandsons Doug Gregory and his wife Lori of Huntsville and Richard Gregory and his wife Charlotte of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Trey and Sarah Lauren Gregory of Huntsville and Caroline, Mary Elizabeth and Emily Gregory of Decatur; and sister, Babs Fletcher of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mark Looyenga officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 301 Drake Ave., SE, Huntsville, AL 35802 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
