Mrs. J. W. Arendall

Funeral services for Mrs. J. W. Arendall, who died at her home here Thursday morning, was held from the Laughter Funeral Home yesterday afternoon.  The Rev. C. W. Ashford, pastor of the South Side Baptist Church, officiated.

Mrs. Arendall, 81, resident of Abilene since 1900, died at her home, 744 Sycamore.  She was born Martha Connally, in Murray county, April 9, 1865.  Sixty-five years ago she married J. W. Arendall in Georgia and they came to Texas in 1893, living at Waco until 1900.   Mr. Arendall died in 1922.

Survivors are three sons, Paul Arendall, Abilene, Bill and Jess Arendall, Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Hulsey, Abilene, and Mrs. Anna Cooper, Harrison, Michigan; 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Bert Horn of McGregor.

Pallbearers will be Hubert Hays, Merton Fewell, Boyd King, Sam Connally, Earl Darden, Paul Dennis, Will King.
