Charles Ray Beavers

Services for Charles Ray Beavers, 63, will be held at 11 a.m. today, June 6, 2000, at the First Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Arise and Build Fund, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel is in charge.

Mr. Beavers died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Chatsworth, Ga., he was a son of Pauline Hudgens Beavers of Camden and the late John Carl Beavers. He retired from DuPont and a member of the First Baptist Church where he was an usher, former deacon, former Sunday School director and served on various committees.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet Belk Beavers; mother; sons, Johnny Ray Beavers of Kingstree, Jeffery Michael Beavers of Irmo; Timothy Charles Beavers of Camden; sister, Shirley B. Cockrell of Texas; a granddaughter, Haley Beavers of Irmo.
