Winifred Cooper

Winifred "Windy" Genevieve Ward Cooper finished her journey through life January 30th in Long Beach, Calif. Windy was born November 1, 1922 to Onie Mayble Evans and Charles S. Ward in Cisco, Georgia.

Her mind and body are finally back together after many years of challenges living with Alzheimer's. We're sure she is in heaven reminiscing her happy days here on earth with her mother, father, brothers Charlie and Bobby, daughters Pati, Joni, and Mitzi, grandchildren Kati, Jami, Cortni, Sean, and the love of her life William J. Cooper.

Some people will "remember" her as a Keno runner at Harrah's for many years. She told us great stories of running Keno tickets for stars such as Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, and many more. They always asked for her, because of her gift for gab, her sparkling personality, and ability to talk to anyone.

We love her dearly and truly miss her now that she has left the earth, but we have missed her for many years. And Windy has wings to fly now.
